One of the great implements found within the social media toolbox is the ability to host or participate in a Twitter chat. I learned this lesson about a year ago when a close friend of mine was participating in what has become one of favorites, #MillennialTalk. I would see her post every Tuesday and her network began to grow.
What is a Twitter chat you may ask? Well a Twitter chat is a live Twitter event, usually moderated and focused around a general topic. To filter all the chatter on Twitter into a single conversation a hashtag is used.
After reading through a few old posts, I realized that #MillennialTalk is where I wanted to be. I participated a few times and was hooked. Chelsea Krost, the starter of this chat really spoke to me as a millennial and the topics really help bring ease to my busy life. She brings in amazing people to host and I’ve made a few awesome connections as well.
Join me, and other awesome millennials next week Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Twitter. Just hashtag #MillennialTalk and hop into conversation.
